 Learn chess from scratch - part one: chess openings. The series of blogs I publish can help beginners learn to play one of the oldest games in the world-chess. By reading the text, and the examples I show, you will simply master the basics of the game.  You will quickly and easily master the basic concepts needed for the game.  I wish you a lot of learning success!  I will first get acquainted with the board and the figures we need for the game. The board consists of 64 fields. On the board in front of you in the left corner, the field is always black.                                                                   Look at the diagram.                                  The figures are placed on the board, see the diagram. A white player has white pieces, the white player always playing his move first. After him, a player with black pieces plays and so on alternately until the game is over.
